Multilateral Trade Negotiations at the WTO in 2012, the Ongoing Doha Development Agenda and Review of the Dispute Settlement Understanding

This course will look at the scope of the current round of multilateral trade negotiations, go through the issues involved (agriculture, non-agricultural market access, services, trade facilitation, rules, special and differential treatment, etc.) and the ongoing negotiations on revisions to the dispute settlement system, look at the progress to date (8-1-2004 framework, 12-2005 Hong Kong ministerial declaration (assuming progress)), and look at the open issues in 2010.
Prerequisite: An introductory course on the WTO.
