Advanced Topics in Financial Instruments Taxation
Professors Shulman and Gibian LL.M Course 893 | 2 credit hours This course is designed for those students that wish to explore in detail the tax treatment of complex financial transactions. A variety of financial transactions will be covered, including transactions involving the need to raise capital and the desire to hedge risk. The course will focus on real world examples of recent transactions. Students will be expected to have a working knowledge of the taxation of financial transactions. Class participation is expected. Prerequisite: Financial Derivatives Taxation Seminar or equivalent course or by permission of the instructors.
