Introduction to U.S. Legal Systems
Professors Michael Cedrone, Craig Hoffman, and Albert Lauber LL.M Course 978 | 2 credit hours This course introduces students from civil law jurisdictions to the mixed legal system(s) of the United States. Through the Socratic discourse we will develop legal tools and thought processes necessary to immerse students in the uniquely American blend of statutory law and judge-made law within a federal system. This course is graded honors-pass-fail and is only open to foreign educated LL.M. students (i.e., those students who do not have a U.S. J.D. degree).
