J.D. Course 038 (cross-listed) | 4 credit hours
The course covers the major federal legislation in the field of antitrust with a primary focus upon efforts to promote competition. Emphasis will be on legal treatment of vertical and horizontal restraints as illegal per se or under the rule of reason, boycotts, monopolies and mergers. The course will also undertake selective comparison of American competition law and policy with the competition law and policy of other countries focusing particularly on the European Union and individual countries in Europe.
Students may not receive credit for both this course and Antitrust Economics and Law.
